Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my child may benefit from Play Therapy?

You might notice changes in behaviour, anxiety, emotional outbursts, withdrawal, low confidence, sleep difficulties, or struggles linked to school, friendships, family changes, trauma, or neurodiversity.

How many sessions will my child need?

Children usually benefit from a minimum of 12 sessions, although this can vary depending on their individual needs.

Will parents receive feedback?

Yes — regular reviews and feedback are provided while still protecting the child’s confidential therapeutic space. You will also receive a report at the end of the 12 sessions.

Do I need a referral?

No. Parents, carers, schools, or professionals can contact me directly.

Is Play Therapy confidential?

Sessions are confidential, although safeguarding concerns must always be acted upon in line with child protection procedures.

What age does my child need to be?

I can work with children from ages 3 to 11.
